Frequently asked questions
Everything athletes, parents and coaches ask us about Relentless. Can't find your answer? Email [email protected].
The app
What is Relentless?
Relentless: Mental Toughness is an iPhone app that teaches competitive athletes the mental side of performance. Mental performance coaches build programs out of short lessons, and each lesson pairs the coach's voiceover with an exercise, like a breathing drill or a reflection, so you practice a skill instead of just reading about it. Relentless App LLC launched the app on the App Store in May 2026.
Who is Relentless for?
Athletes who compete and want to handle pressure better. That includes high school and college athletes, and adults who race or play competitively. If you've ever trained hard and still felt your nerves get the better of you on game day, it's built for you.
Which sports is Relentless for?
Any sport where you compete. Some programs are built for every sport, and others are built for one, such as golf, track and field, or cross country. You can pick more than one sport in the app.
How long does each lesson take?
Most lessons take two to five minutes. A typical lesson is a short voiceover from a coach, an exercise, and a quick reflection.
Is Relentless on Android?
No. Relentless is only available for iPhone on the App Store, and it needs iOS 15.1 or later.
Price and subscriptions
How much does Relentless cost?
Relentless costs $7.99 a month or $59.99 a year in the United States. Prices can be different in other countries. The app is free to download, and full access needs a subscription.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. New subscribers get a 3-day free trial on the monthly plan and a 7-day free trial on the annual plan. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, the subscription starts automatically.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and cancel Relentless there. Deleting the app doesn't cancel your subscription.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Coaches and research
Who makes the lessons in Relentless?
Mental performance coaches. Each coach builds their own programs, and their name and background are in the app. Current coaches include Grant Chiasson, Zoe Frank, James Goodall, Dr. Pip, Iaia Colella and Brock McCormack. Meet the coaches.
What is the MAC approach?
MAC stands for Mindfulness-Acceptance-Commitment, an approach to sport psychology developed by psychologists Frank Gardner and Zella Moore. It teaches athletes to notice their thoughts and feelings, let them be there, and keep doing what the moment asks for, instead of trying to force nerves away. Relentless organizes its lessons around these three skills. Read the full guide.
Is Relentless backed by research?
The lessons are built around the Mindfulness-Acceptance-Commitment approach, which has been tested with athletes in small randomized trials that found improvements in mindfulness, emotion regulation and rated performance. Relentless hasn't run its own clinical trial of the app. We cite the research on our Learn pages so you can read it yourself.
Is Relentless therapy?
No. Relentless is mental performance training, not medical or mental health care, and it isn't meant for a crisis. If you're struggling, talk to a licensed professional. In the United States, you can call or text 988 any time to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
I'm a mental performance coach. Can I build a program?
We're adding coaches one at a time so we can vet every program. Email [email protected] with your background and the athletes you work with, and we'll set up a short call. Coaches on Relentless have a profile in the app that links to their own site or booking page, set their own prices for their services, and Relentless doesn't take a cut of what they earn from their clients.
Account and privacy
Is my journal private?
Yes. Your journal entries are stored only to provide the app to you, they are never sold or used for advertising, and database security keeps them visible only to you while you're signed in. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Profile, then Delete Account. This removes your profile, journal entries and progress. You can also email [email protected] and ask us to delete it.
How do I contact Relentless?
Email [email protected]. Help with subscriptions and accounts is on our Support page.
